school for life
Our history
Every person is important and this is a fact that we firmly believe in.
The world we live in can be difficult, and it seems that taking action to change things is becoming more and more complicated. However, we believe that the actions of a group are often more powerful than words. That's why we are here to fight for the future of humanity.
Our association was officially founded in December 2016, but the idea had been brewing for a few years. Gislain Randrianirina, our contact in Madagascar and himself Malagasy, arrived as a vicar priest in our Saint Serge - Saint Antoine parish in Angers for a study mission at UCO.
For our branch in mainland France, which is located in Angers, we have named our association "Sekoly School for Life". Its Malagasy translation, "Sekoly Mitodika Amin'ny Fiainana", was given by the relay association that is directly present in Madagascar.
Additionally, we respect the French law on associative contracts of 1901.
We are a group of over 40 people of all ages who are actively engaged in various projects and events, as well as in the management of our media and finances.
Our Logo
The hummingbird, our emblem, symbolizes our spirit!
We do our best to imitate this bird, which brings water to the forest, ravaged by a past fire.
In addition, the roofs and the plant embody our concrete actions, and the drop of water falling from the hummingbird's beak is intended to make them grow and develop.
Furthermore, let's take a step back and look at the colours of the logo.
Green evokes our involvement in ecology. As for blue, in addition to illustrating knowledge, the object of teaching, it also refers to spirituality, and therefore to our Christian roots.
Finally, it will not have escaped your notice that white and red complete the colour palette of the two Malagasy and French flags.
